A Nepalese Engineering Geologist holding a Master of Science degree in Engineering Geology from Tribhuvan University and four years of professional experience working with consulting and contracting organizations. His work involves geological mapping, engineering geological investigations, foundation feasibility studies, soil classification, rock and soil testing, rock mass characterization and classification, assessment of tunnel excavation and support, slope stability and stabilization, and geological supervision of hydropower and underground infrastructure projects. He has undertaken various challenging tasks related to geological and geotechnical aspects of Himalayan environments during his career. He completed his master's thesis, “Fluvial Dynamics and Flood Hazard Assessment in the Lower Watershed Region of Karnali River, Western Nepal,” using remote sensing, GIS, Google Earth Engine, HEC-RAS modelling, field investigation, and sediment analysis to assess the dynamics and flood hazards of the river. Through a combination of academic research, consulting and contracting experience, and field-based engineering practice, he aims to apply his geological and geotechnical knowledge to the design, assessment, and safe and sustainable development of complex infrastructure projects.
